Windward Studios is a data-driven organization. In each department, we track our key metrics (e.g., monthly sales, support tickets, website visitors) and make business decisions based on our interpretation of those facts. And yes, we also use AutoTag to generate certain reports.
So it should come as no surprise that reporting speed is as important to us as it is to our customers. We’ve always made the claim that our Engines can “produce in pages per second, not seconds per page.”
Starting with version 12.5, we’ve publicly—and proudly—published our impressive Engine performance metrics. Now, with the recent release of version 13.1, we’ve updated our “Windward Engine Performance Scorecard.”
You shouldn’t be surprised to hear that our Engines have only gotten faster. We test both the .NET and Java Engines, on multiple data sources and three different thread counts (that always sound like bed linens to me, the non-developer).
Interested in the Scorecard? You can download it right here or from our product pages. Feel free to share it with your colleagues. We’ll update it with each new major upgrade.
Want to run this performance test yourself?
For those chronic doubters among you, we’ve made it easy to follow the testing procedures and try it yourself. The most accurate results will certainly come from running the Windward performance tests on your own target system.
We have embedded this testing code inside the Windward Engine, and you can find out more on how to run this Performance Analysis Test on the Windward Documentation Wiki.
