Software Sales Representative

Sales Representatives will conduct all aspects of a sale -- from initiating new contact with warm/cold leads to closing deals.  The entire sale is accomplished via an inside selling role; calling nationally and internationally. 

Candidates should possess the following qualifications:

  • Technical sales ability with prior experience selling software or computer hardware
  • Knowledge of databases and server configurations a plus
  • Tenacious, never-give-up attitude and a determination to achieve goals
  • Ability to effectively communicate to multi-cultural customers via the phone
  • Ability to accurately forecast projected timeframes to close deal
  • Flexibility to work off-hours to contact international prospects/clients
  • Familiarity with Salesforce CRM
  • Ability to handle large numbers of leads and set priorities
  • Strong ethics and commitment to excellence

Tech Support / Sales Engineer / Sys Admin

We are looking for an experienced individual to supplement our technical staff and fill the roles of sales engineer, tech support and system administrator combined. 

The job is a mix of responsibilities. The product runs on both Java and .NET and against any SQL database or XML datasource, so breadth of technical knowledge is critical.  In addition, the desire and ability to be friendly, patient and helpful with staff, customers & prospects is equally important. 

The position will entail logging and answering support inquiries, sales engineer calls & webinars, and, in your spare time, internal system and network administration. (Internally we primarily use Windows.) 

The candidate will also be trained to present Windward software effectively to prospective clients via GotoMeeting and Hyper-V/RDP software.  A general knowledge of database and web application deployment on various web application servers (Weblogic, IIS, SharePoint, etc.) is very helpful.

General desired experience:

Ability to troubleshoot effectively
Ability to multitask in a rapidly changing environment
Self-motivated and confident
Patience (!) and excellent phone manner

Familiarity/experience with the following a plus:

GotoMeeting;  GotoWebinar
ZenDesk
Windows (servers & desktop), Active Directory, Exchange
Hyper-V and/or VMware
Microsoft Team Foundation Server
Microsoft SharePoint
Java
C# and the .NET Framework
SQL Databases
XML (particularly XPath)

Some travel and participation in tradeshows may be required.
