Windward is a natural fit for document generation. The Java Reporting Engine delivers documents with blazing speed. Design your document in Word, and pull in additional text and documents in seconds. You can also repeat parts of the document, include conditional parts of a document, and much more.

Excel Java Report Generation

When you design a Java report in Excel, the template expands all references in the output. For example, SUM(C3:C3), where row 3 is repeated 20 times in the output for 20 rows of data, becomes SUM(C3:C22) when the report is run. (Check out the Excel Formula Example.) All of your output formulas are still live, and output macros are evaluated and the result displayed. Windward also uses full Excel formatting – giving you different formats for positive and negative numbers, currencies, and anything else you need.
