These are copies of the jar files only for the 3rd party libraries the java version of Windward Reports requires. The versions here are the versions we are presently testing against and are generally the latest version for each product. These files are included in the install of Windward Reports.

All versions of Java

These libraries are needed under any version of Java.

• log4j.jar version 1.2.12
• dom4j.jar version 1.6.1
• jaxen.jar version 1.1.b9 (used by dom4j)
• commons-codec.jar version 1.3
• iText.jar version 1.4.1
• iTextAsian.jar version 1.0 (only needed if printing Asian CJK characters in pdf reports)
• JFreeChart.jar 1.0.1 (for charts)
• JCommon.jar 1.0.4 (for charts)
• poi.jar version 2.5.1 (only needed for xls reports)

Java 1.4 and later only

These libraries are needed only if you have images in formats other than JPEG or PNG. You must run the installer for this - it installs native libraries on some operating systems.

For operating systems other than the listed installers, install to a supported operating system and then copy the two jar files to the operating system you are running under and include the jar files in your classpath or app server common lib directory.

• Sun JAI Image IO library.
  • JDK - installs into a JDK
  • JRE - installs into a JRE (you probably want this one)
  • CLASSPATH - installs to an arbitrary location which will require setting the CLASSPATH
  • Auto-install - used to automatically install into a broswer JRE for applets

Java 1.3 only

These libraries are needed only if running under Java 1.3 or earlier.
