Windward's AutoTag Written Tutorial Series
Welcome to Windward Reports. This written tutorial series is designed to help you navigate our powerful report design tool AutoTag. We pride ourselves in being the easiest report design tool on the market and would like to make it even easier with these short, simple, and feature specific walk-throughs.
Selecting Data Sources
The first step is to select a source from which data will be pulled into your report. Choose either Word or Excel to begin the tutorial for that program.
Basic Tag Building
The next step is to place the data into your report. The tutorials below will walk you through dragging data into your report and building basic tags.
Advanced Tagging
There are also a number of Advanced Tags that can be used to further customize your report. The tutorials below will describe how to use IfTags, ElseTags and import images.
Word and Excel Unique Features
Using AutoTag in Word, Excel or PowerPoint offers unique features specific to that program. Reporting in Word allows users to create MatrixTags, which allows data to be automatically expanded by rows or columns. In Excel, Dynamic Formulas used to calculate, condition or create logic can also be used in building reports. The tutorials below will show you how to take advantage of these unique features.
